First Printing of the Surrey volume in Hodder and Stoughton's "The King's England" series being a New Domesday Book of 10,000 Towns and Villages edited by Arthur Mee. VG/Good (Book- No notable shelf rubbing to cloth, Sun fade to spine at tail where exposed by loss to jacket and damp stain to bottom of rear panel of up to 10mm approx from a liquid spillage. No previous owner name or insc. Binding sound with no other defects. Dust Jacket- Colour rubbing and loss to paper at extremities with chip of 20 x 8 mm approx to tail. Leaching of colour from book cloth due to above mentioned spillage to bottom of rear panel extending up to 15 mm approx. Moderate general shelf soiling to white of rear panel. Now in a removable proprietary protective sleeve to which coloured paper has been inserted to avoid the stark white of the backing paper drawing the eye on the book shelf. Non price clipped.
