Although Remington did not live to write his autobiography, his lively and virile stories are here arranged to follow the sequence of his adventurous life. Two of the twenty six pieces not previously published. Together the stories and illustrations provide an unparalleled eye-witness account of the daily lives, battles and adventures of the cow-punchers, Indians and soldiers who made the dramatic history of the Old West.
