Contents include the Religion of Upper Egypt, Lower Egypt, The Religion Under the Persian Conquerors, ditto under the Ptolemies, the Romans, The Roman Emperors and the Byzantine Emperors. List of woodcuts at end. Good - Some wear to cloth covers mainly colour loss with significant sun fade to spine and uneven sun fade to front board. Front end paper cracked but mull and stitching holding. No previous owner name or insc. Browning and a little foxing to title page and rear page- others lightly tanned. A sound reference copy of an early and interesting work on Egyptology.
