1st ed. 215x140mm approx. Red simulated leather boards with gilt titles to spine and front. 276pp. Maps to endpapers, Frontispiece +73 other b/w illust. and two town plans. Described in the forward as a record of the developement of Salisbury and an account of the men and women who helped in it. The book makes facinating reading and has many National archive photos which adds to the interest. The author was Chief Education Officer in Rhodesia prior to his retirement and is noted for his text books on the geography of Rhodesia and history. This copy has the additional attraction of being A SIGNED COPYand dated by the author on the title page. VG+/G+ (book clean- no other insc. or annotations no bumps.
