New Edition, Embellished with twenty two portraits & Frontispiece, 8 vo. 3 v in 6 parts. Printed by J.F.Dove, St John's Square for the publisher in the original printer's paper covered boards with cloth quarter binding and paper labels. Instructions to the binder as to the placement of the plates. Good (Books - Boards worn with liquid staining to some, corners rubbed wear/loss to spines includes loss to cloth and labels. Uncut pages- many unopened. Light foxing to end papers and occassional to some margins with some offset browning to type. Contents complete and binding otherwise sound - ie original sewing on cords holding with no boards detached or signatures loose but must be considered fragile due to age. Occassional pencil notes chiefly to rear end papers. An ideal set to have bound to taste, or for a collector to have in orginal boards). Please see our images of the actual set offered for sale.
