Blue grey cloth with gilt lettering to spine and blue line drawing to front board. Undated but circa 1900's. A New Ediiton. 159pp + 3 of press opinions. Frontis + 42 other line illust. by "Crow". Comparison is made in the press comments to having been influenced by Lewis Carroll's Alice In Wonderland and Charles Kingsley's The Waterbabies. A pretty little allegorical fairy tale with charming illustrations. Inscribed in ink on the ffep "From the Author With Kind Regards" VG (book- no other previous owner names or insc. Light foxing to endpapers. Boards have moderate wear and soiling but no freyed corners or splits to cloth and the binding is sound). A delightful little book.
