Second volume of the author's celebrated 3 vol biography of Pepys. The intended 4th volume was sadly not completed. VG+/VG (book- a couple of small light liquid splashes to front board (less than 4mm in diam) and top edges a little dusty. No bumps or previous owner names and no foxing ( to which this set is prone) D/J - non price clipped with moderate rubbing to head and tail of spine and corners with a little loss and numerous closed tears- max 5mm . Moderate foxing to reverse of d/j which shows through lightly to plain band at bottom. In proprietary protective wrapper).
