448 pages,Red Cloth boards with Black lettering. Frontis with tissue guard +17 other photo. plates and 21 outline drawings. Wriiten by one of the celebrated Abraham's Bros and containing chapters on British Mountaineering, English Climbing, Climbing in North Wales, Scotland and Skye. Significant fading to spine and cloth beginging to wear at spine edges- 10mm at top front and 10mm approx a quarter up from bottom. A tidy b/w book-plate of previous owner to pasted down fep. and name and address of another owner printed to ffep,small and neat. Boards relatively clean and free of creases, bindings sound/tight and pages clean. A very good copy of a scarce early climbing guide.An essential part of all mountain collections.Photographs by the great photographic and climbing Abraham brothers .. who climbed in tweeds and caps,armed with pipes and loose rope that they swung around their bodies to hold a fall..
