Stapled card wraps with laid on illustration. 12 pp + 2 of publisher's adverts. b/w frontis illust. of The Gatehouse Entrance to Cliffords Inn repeating the laid on illust. to front cover + 6 other b/w illustrations by the author. Short history of the picturesque bit of Fifteenth Century London known as Clifford's Inn, one of the Inns of Court. This is seemingly a scarce item. At the time of listing I can find no other copies on the internet other than that held by The British Museum Library. Good - card wraps browned at edges with nicks and small tears- max 5mm approx. Staples rusty, hint of foxing to foredges and spine gutter of a few pages. No previous owner name or insc.
